how i got here
I grew up on the south side of Chicago where money was tight and creativity was often the only option. Some of my earliest memories of fashion were making things myself because buying new clothes wasn’t always possible. Here’s a picture of me wearing the first dress I ever made.

At 17, I joined the Army. At the time I didn’t know exactly what I wanted out of life. I just knew I wanted more opportunity than what I grew up around. The Army introduced me to fitness and showed me how mentally strong I really was.

Years later, I discovered the rave and festival scene in 2013, and it changed everything. The music, the energy, and the community gave me a place where self-expression was celebrated. Fashion became my language.

Eventually I started my own rave and festival fashion brand, GIVEMEPLUR, as a way to contribute back to the community that gave me so much. I also began working closely with brands in the space as a content creator and influencer.
But by 2024, something shifted in me.
Social media started to feel overwhelming. Constant comparison left me feeling disconnected from myself, and I realized I needed to step away and reevaluate what I really wanted.
That time away forced me to slow down, reflect, and rediscover what actually brings me joy.
During that time, I decided to enroll back in school (for what feels like the thousandth time), but this time with a different focus: cybersecurity. In 2025 I officially transferred to California State University, Los Angeles, where I’m currently studying Computer Information Systems and plan to graduate in Spring 2028.
Alongside school, I’ve also been working on a money-tracking and budgeting app called WellSpnt, which has been an exciting creative challenge for me, and my first real step into building something in the tech space.
These days my life is a mix of technology, creativity, and self-discovery, and this space is where I document that journey.
